The Criterion Youth Theatre
Due to the COVID situation, unfortunately, we are not be able to run the youth theatre at the Criterion at the present time.
As a volunteer organisation, and due to restrictions of our space and resources, we are not able to meet the current requirements for a COVID-safe environment for classes with young people and while this is very disappointing for us all, health and safety has to be our primary concern.
We do not foresee this situation changing before the end of 2020, but I do hope we might be able to restart from the new year 2021.

If you would like to be kept on the mailing list for information about the youththeatre, then please contact dramaclasses@criteriontheatre.co.uk

When we have sufficient numbers who are interested, we are able to run The Criterion Youth Theatre.

This is an amazing opportunity to be a real part of the Criterion family. Being part of the Youth Theatre gives membership to the Criterion Theatre Company .

Youth Theatre members have the chance to be on stage, back stage and front of house, as well as develop their theatre skills. The group practises stage craft, vocal skills, character work, scripted pieces, as well as learning about other theatre skills such as sound, lighting, and wardrobe. In the past, the Youth Theatre has put on several productions of their own, and been involved in the productions that are part of the main Criterion season.
