Staying Covid-Safe at the Criterion: Latest Updates

24th September

We are so pleased that we can begin to open up our building and share live theatre performances with you again and from the 29th September we will be producing live theatre performance on our stage to a socially distanced audience with our first post-lockdown production Queers: Eight Monologues.

Looking after our cast, crew, front of house teams and audiences is our top priority and we need to do things in a different way to help us stay safe.

The changes and safety features we have implemented are based on careful adherence to the most recent government Covid-19 guidance on performing arts. They also take on board the findings of the ‘After the Interval’ survey we sent out in June, which indicated things that would encourage people to come back to our theatre after lockdown.

Please click here to find out about our key safety features, answers to FAQs and a video that shows some of the features as well as updated protocols following the most recent changes to government guidance as at 24th September.

If you have any further questions to ask, for reassurance or you are just unsure, please do not hesitate to ask us. You can contact Jon Elves on or Nicole Firth on and we will be happy to help.
