It is clear that restrictions around the Covid pandemic are likely to get tougher over the next couple of months. Therefore, as a Board and Production Committee, we have made the decision that all our events until the end of the year will be online only.

Moving into 2021, we are working on a plan whereby we will be producing plays in the theatre and a series of artistic and social events to celebrate the Criterion’s 60th anniversary year. Our plan at the moment is to have some plays January to May 2021, which will be produced by default as online productions (either live recorded, or pre-recorded) in the auditorium. If our assessment of the Covid situation is that it is safe to do so within prevailing regulations, then we will also produce these plays live to a socially distanced audience. There will be further communication about these plays and 60th anniversary artistic events shortly.
